A fire broke out on Wednesday evening in a furniture warehouse in an industrial area in Kalba.
Firefighters managed to control the blaze before it spread to nearby warehouses. No casualties were reported.
Lt Col Sami Al Naqbi, director of Sharjah Civil Defence, said: “A report about the fire was received at 5.15pm. Firefighting teams extinguished the fire in almost an hour before starting the cooling process.”
