A warehouse caught fire in Al Jarf Industrial area in Ajman on Wednesday.
The fire was reported to the Civil Defence operations room at 2.42pm with firefighters reaching the site less then five minutes, according to Lt Col Raed Obaid Al Zaabi, deputy director of Ajman Civil Defence.
The fire damaged parts of the warehouse but no casualties were reported, he said.
After the fire was extinguished the site was handed over to police to investigate the cause.
Lt Col Al Zaabi urged community members to report fires as soon as they happen and called on them not to gather at scenes of accidents to make way for rescue teams.
