DUBAI // A 32-year-old Etisalat employee denied molesting a maid while fixing her sponsor’s internet connection, heard Dubai Criminal Court.
Prosecutors told the court that the incident happened on December 3 last year in Al Qusais.
M A from Bangladesh visited the villa to carry out maintenance work on the internet connection when the maid arrived to show him where the Etisalat cable was.
“I was standing next to him when he picked up his mobile and showed me the screen asking if the number on the screen was my sponsor’s, he then touched my breast,” said Filipino E J, 26.
E J screamed at M A and asked him to leave but he did not and allegedly touched her other breast.
“He had also touched my behind, but I didn’t say anything to him then because I believed it was by mistake,” said E J who informed her employer then the police.
M A was arrested on January 17 this year.
In court, he denied a sexual assault charge. “I didn’t mean to do that, my elbow touched her by mistake,” M A told the court and asked for forgiveness.
A verdict will be issued on March 3.
