Following the occasional smattering of rain on Friday night, forecasters say more is to be expected across the country until 6pm on Saturday. Heavy clouds associated with rain will continue to form, leading to light showers in areas on the periphery of Abu Dhabi city, in Al Ain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. Residents of Abu Dhabi city and Dubai may see some rain but will most likely only experience its by products - overcast skies and gusty winds. The National Centre of Meteorology said winds of up to 40kph will pick up dust and create a haze across the country, reducing visibility slightly over exposed areas, namely inland. However, the forecasted rain does not come with the promise of cooler temperatures. The mercury will hit 40C inland, dropping to 18C in the evening. Along the coast, a range of 20 to 38 can be expected while the mountains will offer the coolest reprieve with lows of 14 and highs of 30. The evening will bring with it heavier humidity that may result in fog on Sunday morning. Motorists are advised to factor extra time into their morning commute. Waters will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman on Saturday. Overcast skies will persist on Sunday and Monday with a slight chance of rain across scattered areas of the country but temperatures will remain high. On Saturday, light rain reported in Al Quaa, an area in the south-eathern part of Abu Dhabi emirate. The potential of rain and gusty winds prompted forecasters to issue an orange "Be prepared" warning inland on Saturday.
