Weather conditions in Dubai on Friday will be mostly clear and sunny with a moderate breeze.

Temperatures are due to peak at 41°C shortly after midday, accompanied by winds of up to 24kph.

The forecast for Abu Dhabi promises a similar day of clear skies and light breezes.

Temperatures are predicted to be slightly hotter, reaching 42°C in the afternoon, with lighter winds of around 20kph.

The National Centre of Meteorology is predicting fair conditions for the UAE in general, but said moderate winds could pick up sand and dust at times.

The high temperatures and dusty air could make for a hazy start to the weekend, it said.

Some convective clouds associated with rainfall could roll in during the afternoon.

Night time temperatures could drop to around 35°C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi over the course of Friday night and the early hours of Saturday morning.
