The National Centre of Meteorology has warned that fog beginning in the early hours of Saturday morning could reduce visibility across much of the UAE before it clears.

The centre cautioned that both coastal and internal areas were likely to be affected by the challenging conditions, and said northern areas were likely to see the thickest fog.

Weather conditions, however, are expected to clear up by around 8.30am local time, the centre said.

The forecast for the rest of the day in Dubai on Saturday will be warm and sunny with moderate winds.

Temperatures are due to peak at 30°C shortly after midday, accompanied by winds of up to 21kph.

The forecast for Abu Dhabi promises a similar day of clear skies and light breezes, once the morning’s fog clears.

Temperatures are predicted to be slightly hotter, reaching 32°C in the afternoon, with lighter winds of around 18kph.
