The UAE woke to a chilly start with partly sunny skies on Sunday.

Temperatures, which hovered at around 17°C early in the day, will reach a high of 27°C inland and 26°C on the coast.

Humidity was expected to rise overnight, reaching up to 85 per cent. Winds will be light to moderate and conditions will be moderate in the Arabian Sea and the Oman Sea.

There could be some light rainfall on Monday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology, one week on from the worst flooding to hit the UAE in years.

Three days of high winds and heavy rain had forced many to flee their homes while traffic was brought to a standstill.
