ABU DHABI // About 48 million gallons of water was harvested in dams after rainfall on July 14, according to the Ministry of Environment and Water.
This was accumulated in the country’s central region after medium to heavy rainfall that also covered some northern areas. Maintenance work and dam installation in the central region were completed last month in coordination with the Ministry of Public Works.
The operational plan included the development and renovation of irrigation networks so these could directly benefit from the rainwater harvested.
