Al Ain residents can safely rid their homes of old furniture and electronic devices following the launch of a complimentary door-to-door service by Tadweer, the Centre of Waste Management - Abu Dhabi.
Residents can call 800 555 to book the free service, reported Wam, the state news agency.
Within 48 hours, an authorised company will be assigned to arrange for collection and transport of the bulk waste.
This is part of Tadweer’s goal of environmental safety and to maintain high hygiene standards in Al Ain.
“We aim to ensure all household bulk waste is disposed in a proper manner eliminating the hazards of illegal dumping,” said Nael Al Shamsi, Tadweer’s Al Ain branch manager.
Tadweer also conducts year-long awareness programmes on the importance of recycling and waste reduction.
