The Electricity and Water Authority in Sharjah has announced it will be taking water samples from six new locations to ensure the water is of an acceptable quality.
The goal is to preserve the health and safety of residents in the emirate of Sharjah, particularly in the areas of Umm Faneen, Al Noof 4, Al Zubair, Al Rahmaniyah 1 and 7, and Al Soyooh 2.
The authority now inspects water in 52 locations.
Rashed Al Leem, director of the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, said the authority is working on enhancing water networks and water purity to compete with bottled water companies.
He said that the level of water purity now is better than it used to be.
Khulood Al Naboodah, head of the desalination plants section, said that the authority considers the high purity of water delivered to households one of its biggest priorities.
