A workshop on how to handle events after earthquakes, fog and sandstorms was conducted for Dubai Police employees by the municipality on Wednesday. The two-day programme involved quick analysis and response and addressed what actions should be taken to reduce the impact of natural catastrophes on residents. Dr Kamal Mohamed Atiya, seismologist at the municipality’s survey department, said the lecture was aimed at educating the trainees about the safety measures to be taken under such circumstance.
