DUBAI // Motorists are being urged to stay vigilant on the roads this week as poor visibility and a chance of rain are expected to make driving conditions difficult.
Winds as high as 40kph kicked up dust and sand on Monday, forcing the closure of the Global Village theme park in Dubai.
Forecasters at the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology, said rain could fall over the coast and in northern and eastern areas, with significant falls in temperature too.
Conditions are expected to be rough in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
The unsettled weather will persist with cloudy skies on Tuesday leading to a chance of scattered rain while strong winds will continue to pick up dust.
“For Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy with moderate winds in general, fresh at times,” forecasters said.
