Emirati students participate in UAE’s peaceful nuclear programme

The students were chosen because of their ability, their talent, their values and ethics.

Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, the Minister of Development and International Cooperation, met with a group of Emirati students today who recently took the Generic Fundamentals Examination with a view to becoming certified nuclear reactor operators.

"Over the next few months, the students will experience life in a fully operational nuclear energy plant and they will gain some incredible, hands-on experience," said Sheikha Lubna, who spoke at a ceremony at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic.

"These students have been selected to be a part of the UAE's peaceful nuclear energy programme because of their ability, their talent, their values and ethics. We know they are all capable of achieving great things and achieving excellence."
