AL AIN // Emirati singer Fatima Zahrat Alain has refuted rumours that she was involved in the death of her former husband Ahmed Hussein bin Silari, the Emirati artist who was killed in a road accident in Al Ain on Friday.
In a phone conversation with The National’s Arabic-language sister paper, Al Ittihad, Ms Alain dismissed the rumours.
“I can’t run over a cat. How can possibly do something like that?” she said.
She said that she was on her way to Al Ain from Dubai when she heard the news.
Fatima said that all problems with Mr Bin Salari had been resolved and she was leading a stable life.
Hussein was pronounced dead after he was knocked down by a car just after he had met his 3-year old daughter at Al Ain Social Support Centre on Friday.
