Emirati man rescued from Fujairah fire

An Emirati man has been rescued after a fire broke out at his home in Al Faseel, Fujairah, on Tuesday.

Fujairah civil defence received a call regarding the fire at 10.35pm. Firefighters, ambulances and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the site.

Firefighters successfully rescued a man who was sleeping, unaware of the fire, and put out the fire.

Investigations are still ongoing as to the cause of the fire.

Last month, nineteen members of an Emirati family were rescued from a fire at their home in Ras Al Khaimah. Civil defence said the fire spread to three rooms in the two-storey villa in Al Muayrid.

In May, 176 pupils were rescued after a fire broke out at a kindergarten school in Dahan, Ras Al Khaimah.
