Police are searching for an Emirati boy who went missing three days ago in Makkah while performing Umrah with his family.
Khaled Al Darmaki, 17, who suffers from mental health issues, was circumambulating the kaaba at the Grand Mosque with his family when he disappeared.
Umrah is a lesser pilgrimage made by Muslims to Makkah that can be performed at any time of the year. It still requires worshippers to circle around the kaaba, as Hajj does.
The family alerted authorities, who began searching for the boy at nearby hospitals.
Khaled's brother described him as slim, average height with tan skin and a shaved head. He said he does not speak much and was last seen wearing a short-sleeved white thobe.
The Holy Metropolitan Police in Makkah is still searching for the boy and his family are urging anyone who may have information on Khaled or his whereabouts to contact them on +97150 479 9986 or to let police know.
