Elderly woman dies in Sharjah house fire

An Emirati woman in her eighties died when a fire gutted her family's home in Al Khan area of Sharjah over the Eid holiday weekend.

A male relative was rushed to hospital and was being treated last night.

The blaze started at around 2.30am from a spark in an faulty air conditioner.
