UAE schools will hold in-person exams next month with Covid-19 safety measures in place.
The Ministry of Education confirmed pupils at public schools and private schools which follow its curriculum will sit first semester tests starting on November 15.
Schools and universities across the country closed in early March to control the spread of coronavirus.
The majority of private and public schools across the country reopened in late August for the new academic year.
The ministry has not revealed details of the safety measures that will be put in place for the examinations.
Pupils in grade four to eight will take tests on a range of subjects, including
mathematics, Arabic, science and English.
UAE's International Baccalaureate schools are also set to hold in-person examinations for pupils in November.
These exams will be the first major school-leaving assessments to be held amid the pandemic after a spate of cancellations in the summer.
