ABU DHABI // With the help of the Abu Dhabi Education Council, students across the emirate are banding together in support of the Emirates Red Crescent Yemen: We Care campaign.

Adec kicked off a week-long campaign across public and private schools and universities on Sunday to encourage students to donate clothing, home appliances, food and money to Yemen: We Care, the national ERC campaign with the goal of helping 10 million people affected by the conflict in Yemen.

Emirates Red Crescent donation boxes have been placed in all Adec’s regional offices as well as across schools and universities to receive the donated goods.

“Encouraging our students to participate in voluntary work are cornerstones of the UAE culture, and happen to coincide with ADEC’s mission to enhance national identity traits amongst students with emphasis on empathy, humanity, respect, and taking part in different voluntary activities,” said Saoud Al Neyadi, Adec’s customer service division manager.

Adec’s customer service division has focused on enhancing the quality of services for its customers, which complements their role in meeting new customers and building contacts.

“As a customer service division, we meet and greet different stakeholders, and come into contact with various members in the community,” said Mr Al Neyadi. “So why not reach out to all these people on an important cause such as this one and help as best as we can to spread the message and help rebuild the lives of affected children and civilians in Yemen?”
