ABU DHABI // Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak praised teachers across the country and detailed their importance to mark World Teachers’ Day.
The chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood said that educators play a significant role in developing future generations.
“While celebrating World Teachers’ Day [on Wednesday], we will not forget our teacher and leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who harnessed all possible ways for Emiratis to learn modern sciences,” she said, adding that the teacher is the main pillar of education.
“Teachers in the country have the most important role in the building of both human resources and the nation, as the role of the school is growing more at this time than any previous stage.”
