Schools warned not to teach any books not approved by Ministry of Education

SHARJAH // Private schools have been warned against teaching subjects from text books that have not been approved by the Ministry of Education.

According to a circular distributed to all private schools across the country, the ministry directed schools to ban the use of any books that conflict with the principles of the Islamic religion and the traditions of the UAE regardless of the source of the books.

It was not clear if an incident in which a school was found to be teaching such materials was the reason behind the issue of the circular.
