A total of 421 Emirati men and women will be recruited as school bus supervisors and school canteen managers.
The Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation, the Ministry of Education (MoE)and Emirates Transport have signed deals to provide 421 Emiratis with jobs at MoE-affiliated government schools in Dubai and the northern emirates.
Under phase 1 of the agreement, 210 Emiratis will be hired as of the next academic year.
Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, acting under-secretary of the Ministry of Education, said the move was part of the MoE's Emiratisation efforts, adding that the ministry attached great importance to the school transportation and canteen services as they are at the core of students' safety, reported Al Ittihad, the Arabic language sister paper of The National.
