Gusty winds of up to 50kph blew sand over roads, obstructing visibility in some areas, on Thursday, kicking off what is expected to be another hot and hazy weekend.
Dust storms will persist through until Sunday with temperatures peaking at 48°C inland and humidity reaching 90 per cent along coastal regions.
Beach-goers can expect seas to be rough at first before becoming moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.
