New Dh800 million waterfront dining and entertainment spot The Pointe on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah is getting its very own dancing fountain across the bay from Atlantis The Palm.

Following in the footsteps of the Dubai Fountain, the world's largest choreographed fountain system, developer Nakheel has signed a Dh66m deal with China’s largest fountain specialists, Beijing Water Design.

The fountain will cover a 12,000-square-metre area of water at the tip of the island, across the bay from Atlantis The Palm.

Nakheel Chairman, Ali Rashid Lootah, said: “Palm Jumeirah, our flagship project, is already one of the most popular, sought-after destinations for Dubai’s residents and tourists. The Pointe, our latest addition to this ever-evolving island, is an iconic, must-see attraction that adds a new dimension to the city’s dining, retail and entertainment scene.

The Pointe, located five kilometres out to sea, features nearly 70 restaurants, shops and attractions.
