Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid cradles his granddaughter in a new photograph. The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai was pictured holding his daughter Sheikha Latifa’s four-month-old child. Sheikha Latifa, the chairwoman of Dubai Culture, and her husband Sheikh Faisal Saud Khalid Al Qasimi, welcomed their daughter into the world last autumn. The infant’s name has not been made public. Sheikh Mohammed was pictured with Sheikh Faisal and the couple’s first child, Mohammed bin Faisal, who was born in July 2018. The image was shared on Sheikh Faisal’s Instagram account. Sheikha Latifa married Sheikh Faisal, a member of Ras Al Khaimah’s royal family, in 2016. The titles include <em>My Friend, the Lion</em> and <em>Camping with Scorpions</em>. Each introduces the reader to the nature and wildlife found in the desert by Sheikh Mohammed. In a preface to the collection, Sheikh Mohammed talks about his youthful eagerness to “learn new skills and his indefatigable spirit of adventure, which helped him dream big”.
