DUBAI// A manager accused of molesting a female employee denied a charge of sexual assault at the Dubai Criminal Court.
“I never did anything to her not even touch her, I am innocent,” said Indian M P, 43.
Prosecutors said that on February 19 this year M P had kissed the hand of Emirati K A, 26, as she reached to grab her pen.
“It was nearly 11.30pm and I was at work at Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport where I work as a customer service agent. I took a short break and headed to the Indian airline section where the defendant was and he saw me heading to the break room,” said K A.
She added that M P joined her in the break room and they spoke about her aviation exam. “I went to the testing room and logged into the system to check the exam, he came and said he could help me with the exam, I said alright then while there I dropped my pen, when I reached for it he grabbed my hand and kissed it telling me not to worry and that he would help me pass the exam,” said K A.
K A was upset and left the room immediately then later in the day she informed her husband and both went to the airport police and reported M P.
Prosecutors said MP confessed during investigations but in court, he denied the charge.
A verdict is expected on April 15.
