ABU DHABI // Two men who sexually assaulted a woman were today sentenced to prison terms of six months and three months.
RK, from Morocco, was returning home from a nightclub when two men noticed her entering a lift.
One of the men, MK, entered the lift with her, while the other, MS, went to another floor to wait for them. She told police that while she was in the lift MK hit her, touched her breasts and stole her bag and mobile phone. She said that when the lift stopped and she got out, MS, who was waiting for them, touched her inappropriately.
The two men, both Palestinian, were acquitted of drinking alcohol, and the woman withdrew her accusation of theft, telling a previous hearing that she might have lost the items.
MK was sentenced to six months for sexual assault and MS to three months for the same charge.
