ABU DHABI // A man who took a woman's refusal to let him kiss her dog as an invitation to instead kiss her, has appeared before the criminal court on charges of sexual harassment.
The Pakistani labourer followed an American woman and her dog into an elevator at night, prosecutors said.
The man then asked if he could kiss the dog.
When the woman told him it was inappropriate to kiss a dog, he took this as an invite to kiss her instead.
The labourer began to touch the woman's thighs and back as he tried to hug and kiss her.
The woman started to scream and the man was reported to police and later arrested.
A verdict will be announced on May 27.
