Yes, I have reached the two-month mark at The National.
What have I learned so far?
Let me see: pitching stories, conducting interviews, writing stories, writing briefs and much more. There were struggles with putting some stories together, and some took more time than I expected.
But again, once I see my name in print, I forget all about the struggles.
This training programme is starting to show me all the gears I need to be equipped with. My mentor and editors at The National are doing a great job at guiding me through things. If I neglect to gather some information, or mistakenly forget it, that is when they show up and highlight the missing parts.
What is holding me back? Well, it is my pregnancy after all. I admit that I am taking it slow now. I am approaching the end of my pregnancy and my due date is just around the corner.
I am looking forward to Month 3 at The National, my new home.
