DUBAI // Two male cleaners molested a seven-year-old boy after showing him pornographic videos, a court has heard.

Filipinos A V, 25, and N K, 21, took Kenyan A M to their home on March 18 this year and showed him videos on a phone before touching him inappropriately, Dubai Criminal Court was told.

The victim’s mother, K M, 27, told prosecutors she was worried her son had not returned home at 8pm and went to look for him.

“He usually plays in a yard near our residence, I went out to find him with no luck. Then I received a call from the maid informing me that he returned home at 9.15pm,” she said.

“When I reached home my boy was crying. He told me that two men showed him nude women in a video and that they touched him.”

The boy, A M, told prosecutors two Filipinos had taken him to their house.

“They showed me pornographic videos on a mobile [phone] and one of them touched my private parts,” said the boy.

The child’s mother reported the assault to Jebel Ali police station.

Prosecutors charged N K with molesting the child and A V with aiding and abetting. Both men were charged with breaching A M’s modesty and privacy by showing him the video.

At the Dubai Criminal Court A V pleaded guilty while N K pleaded not guilty.

A verdict is expected on June 17.
