DUBAI // A four-old-old boy drowned after slipping through the metal railings in Dubai Marina and falling into the water.
Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri of Dubai Police said police were called to the incident last week, but the boy had died by the time they arrived.
“The mother and eyewitnesses tried to rescue the boy before the authorities arrived, but they were not able to save him and the boy departed this life,” he said.
He said the child was from an Arabian Gulf country.
He warned parents to keep an eye on their children, especially when they are near bodies of water.
