Bill on regulation of wild predatory animals in UAE drafted

The draft bill comes shortly after Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed, the Ruler of Sharjah, issued an administrative order prohibiting residents of the emirate from owning dangerous predators.

The Ministry of Environment and Water has finished a new draft bill on the regulation and possession of wild predatory animals.

It aims to regulate the possession and trade of predatory, dangerous and semi-dangerous animals and protect people from harm and from spreading animal diseases, Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister paper of The National reported.
