ABU DHABI // Yemeni forces backed by the Saudi-led Arab coalition on Tuesday took full control of the port city of Mokha on the Red Sea coast.
They carried out a three-front offensive after laying siege to the city. Scores of Houthi militias were killed or taken prisoner and others fled.
The UAE Armed Forces took part in land operations, provided firepower and lent air and intelligence support to the Yemeni resistance forces.
Civilians including women, children and the elderly, who were held by the Houthis to use as human shields, were freed.
