ABU DHABI // The First Instance Court has ruled in favour of an Emirati father who filed a lawsuit to evict his three sons from his house.
The man claimed that he could no longer afford to keep his sons, who all have jobs and families, at the house and wanted to rent it out.
The sons argued that they live in the house with their mother, who is their father’s first wife, and he had no right to kick them out, and the lawsuit was simply sparked by his second wife.
However, the First Instance Court ruled that since he owned the house, he has authority over the house and who stays in it.
The court ruled in the father’s favour.
