Five abras in the traditional boat style have been launched in Dubai Creek.
The abras will link five stations, shuttling between Baniyas, Al Sabkha, Al Ghubaiba, Dubai Old Souk and Al Fahidi, the Roads and Transport Authority said.
Commuters can use Al Fahidi station as an alternative to Al Seef, which is temporarily closed because of building work in the area.
