Rain fell over several areas of the UAE on Sunday afternoon, with more unsettled weather forecast for Monday.

The National Centre of Meteorology reported downpours over Al Hair area, and over Al Shiwayb and Al Hiyar in Al Ain.

Showers were felt in Academic City in Dubai and heavy rain fell in Al Awir and Al Habab.

Forecasters also warned of unsettled weather in the east of the UAE on Sunday evening, with an amber warning issued for Al Faqa area to inform residents to expect hazardous weather events.

The UAE is expected to see more showers on Monday afternoon, as the National Centre of Meteorology said there is a chance some clouds could form in the east.

On Tuesday morning, the wind will turn from southeasterly to northwesterly and northeasterly and will freshen at times causing blowing dust.

No rain is forecast for the rest of the week, and temperatures are set to remain in the mid-forties until at least Thursday.

The UAE has seen a spate of summer storms over the past few days, with isolated flooding reported in rural Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah over the weekend, after heavy rain fell on the area.
