The youngest scientist and inventor, Adeeb Alblooshi, 10, has visited the Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology before beginning his scientific world tour.
The Emirati boy was introduced to the institute’s projects – DubaiSat-1, DubaiSat-2 and Khalifa-Sat. The latter is the first satellite to be fully built and produced by engineers in the UAE.
The tour allowed Adeeb to learn about the ground station, which monitors and operates the DubaiSat-1 and DubaiSat-2 satellites.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, has appointed the institution to follow the boy on his world tour to ensure that he develops and makes the most of it. Adeeb will visit seven of the most advanced countries in the areas of science and research.
Adeeb has already invented several devices, including a waterproof prosthetic limb, which is still under development, and a small cleaning device. Additionally, he holds seven scientific patents and has received more than 100 certificates and awards.
He is a member of the Arab Robotics Association, the ambassador of the Emirates Identity Authority and head of the committee of young inventors and innovators at the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development.
