Data Visualisation Journalist
Location
Isaac works at the intersection of numbers, shapes and colours. He is a Data Visualisation Journalist at The National, where he sources data, builds code workflows, and turns the results into charts and maps. His work spans conflict monitoring in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran, as well as energy, business and climate. Previously, Isaac spent two years as a Data Analyst at N+ Focus, the investigative unit of Mexico’s largest news channel, supporting reporting on corruption, climate change, migration, human rights and arms trafficking. Work he contributed to has been recognised with an Emmy, an Ortega y Gasset Award and a Covering Climate Now Award, among others. He’s especially drawn to stories on climate change, human rights, urbanism, energy and pop culture.
