      Elias joined The National as a senior correspondent in Beirut in 2020. He started his career at The Daily Star, where he spent more than eight years reporting on politics and business. In 2015, he joined An-Nahar, where he spearheaded the launch of the revamped online English edition, led the editorial team for five years and wrote regular columns.
