The National’s picture caption competition winners
Martin Fullard was inspired by Top Gear’s The Stig to write: “Presenting the new director of the traffic department.” Yvonne Boylan also deserves a mention for the caption: “Does this hat go with these shoes?” As indeed do Martin and Julie Pinder for the caption: “I did put the handbrake on.”
Nicholas Titchener wrote in with this witty entry: “When I said we needed a cooling off period, this wasn’t what I had in mind.” Nithya R also deserves a mention for the caption “Honey, I’ll see you on the other side.”
