Would you pay money to boo a player?

Unlike in this country, tickets to watch a World Cup qualifier cost plenty of money but fans are happy to do it to see the cream of the country's crop turn out for their nation. During England's World Cup qualifying victory over Kazakhstan on Saturday, a large section of the crowd jeered the England defender Ashley Cole following his wayward pass across his own penalty area that allowed the Kazakhs to score ? something considered an embarrassment given England's riches of talent. Having paid their money fans have every right to express their opinions ? good or bad ? as long as they are not threatening or violent. But would you pay money to watch a game and boo one of your own players? Someone who unquestionably wants to play well for their country and especially in front of a capacity crowd at Wembley? Fans always talk about players alienating themselves from the fans, but with this kind of behaviour is it any wonder?
