The UAE remain rooted to the foot of the World Cricket League Championship after a 98-run loss to Scotland on Sunday.
Kyle Coetzer and Preston Mommsen both scored centuries as the home side amassed 327 for five in the one-day international in Edinburgh.
Only Ahmed Raza, the deposed captain who took two for 28 in his 10 overs, had any joy on a difficult day for the national team’s bowlers.
In response, the touring side fell a long way short, with none of the batsmen reaching a half century, as Rohan Mustafa top scored on 43.
The national team will get a chance to redress the balance when the two sides meet in the final match on tour on Monday.
