Two of the UAE’s pre-eminent clubs had their chances to improve their Asian Champions League standings on Monday night, but neither Al Ain nor Dubai’s Al Ahli were able to manage better than respective draws.
Al Ain played to a 2-2 draw in Jeddah to Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli, while the UAE’s Al Ahli played a disappointing scoreless draw to Saudi club Al Taawoun.
