It was India's second convincing win in two tries against New Zealand, as they sealed victory in the three-Test series, with their bowlers continuing to give the tourists fits.
New Zealand collapsed in the second innings for just 197, losing the Test by 178 runs. The result moved India ahead of bitter rivals Pakistan.
