Sunderland
Sunderland have signed Senegal striker Dame N’Doye on loan from Trabzonspor for the rest of the season.
N’Doye, 30, has previous Premier League experience having played for Hull City last season, scoring five goals in 15 appearances before moving to Turkey in August.
Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce told the club website: “Dame will bring something different to our forward options.
“Having already played in the Premier League, he should have no problems in hitting the ground running, too, which is very important at this stage of the season.”
Torino
Italy striker Ciro Immobile is set to rejoin his former side Torino on loan, the Serie A club said.
Immobile has been on loan at Sevilla from his parent club Borussia Dortmund since July last year.
The 25-year-old forward was the leading scorer in Serie A in the 2013/14 season when he scored 22 goals.
He joined Dortmund for a fee of €18 million (Dh71.9m) but struggled to make an impact in the Bundesliga and he was loaned to Sevilla.
Torino, 14th in Serie A, said on their website that Immobile had undergone a medical and trained with the squad.
Arsenal
The Daily Mail reports Arsenal have completed the £5million signing of Egypt midfielder Mohammed Elneny from Swiss side Basle, confirmed Arsene Wenger following Wednesday's 3-3 draw with Liverpool.
The Egyptian completed his medical last week and was awaiting international clearance before joining up with his new team-mates at the Gunners’ London Colney HQ.
Wenger has now confirmed that the midfielder has completed his move to the Emirates and could be contention for their clash with Stoke on Sunday.
“Elneny will of course join us. He has joined us,” the Frenchman revealed following the Premier League draw at Anfield. “We will see if he can qualify for Sunday.”
Elneny is expected to be their only January signing, though right back Mathieu Debuchy could leave after asking Wenger for a move.
The 23-year-old made nearly 100 appearances for Basle while winning three consecutive Swiss Super League titles.
His performances in Europe have been particularly impressive in that time, starring in victories against Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham.
Tottenham Hotspur
The Premier League club have signed teenage midfielder Shilow Tracey from Ebbsfleet United.
The 17-year-old was invited for a trial in October and travelled with the club’s under-18s to play at the IMG Cup in Florida last month.
Tracey scored twice in victories over Jacksonville Armada and Baltimore Celtic, leaving Spurs suitably impressed to open talks with Ebbsfleet over a permanent move, and he is now set to continue his development at the White Hart Lane club.
The young midfielder is comfortable playing either in a central role or further forward behind a striker, although he has only featured once for Ebbsfleet’s first team.
Tracey will join Tottenham’s academy under the direction of head of player development John McDermott.
Atletico Madrid
The Daily Mail reports Antoine Griezmann is set to be rewarded with a new Atletico Madrid contract with the Spanish giants increasing his buyout clause to fend off interest from their European rivals.
According to Madrid-based newspaper AS, Griezmann’s current deal until 2020 will be improved as he continues to excel at the Vicente Calderon.
Atletico will also raise his buyout clause from £61million (€80m) to £76m (€100m) with Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and bitter rivals Real Madrid all interested in signing the 24-year-old.
AS add that Griezmann’s new deal will include an agreement that he won’t consider offers elsewhere for two years to further deter any suitors.
And that in particular applies to Real with the city rivals having established a ‘gentelman’s agreement’ in recent years not to sign each other’s players.
The France international has reportedly told the club he is happy where he is after shining under boss Diego Simeone since joining from Real Sociedad at the start of last season.
Griezmann has scored 32 goals in 56 La Liga games for Atletico and was on target in their 2-0 La Liga triumph at Celta Vigo on Sunday.
Celtic
Anthony Stokes still has a Celtic future according to Parkhead boss Ronny Deila - even though the Irishman is edging closer to a loan move.
Both Hibernian and Inverness are keen to land the out-of-favour frontman this month.
Stokes has not featured for Deila’s team since August and was forced to apologise after sending an ill-judged tweet last month when he was left in the stands at Inverness.
But the manager insists his striker can still play his way back into his plans if he can rediscover his form elsewhere.
“We think he will go on loan,” Deila said ahead of Friday night’s trip to Ladbrokes Premiership basement boys Dundee United.
“He has some options but together with Stokesy we haven’t decided what is the right one yet.
“A lot of clubs have been in contact who want to have Stokesy on their team.
“We will see what Anthony wants and what is best for the club. He is happy to go out on loan. He wants to get some games under his belt.
