TORONTO // The Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik was the hero as his team enjoyed a three-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the Twenty20 quadrangular series. The game was in the balance with Pakistan needing 13 from the final over, but Malik held his nerve and hit a four off the penultimate ball. Tillakaratne Dilshan's side wasted a good start by losing a rash of wickets to end on 137-9. Jehan Mubarak top scored with 39.
Malik's 42 not out led the reply with his eighth-wicket partnership with Fawad Alam (23). * PA Sport
