MANCHESTER// Despite sitting just three points behind the Premier League leaders with a game in hand, Mark Hughes is maintaining a cautious nature following Manchester City's best start to a season since 1961. "We have come to a point where we are running quite quickly," he says. "Maybe further down the line we have to slow down a bit and walk." Rational thinking to avoid too much expectation, but it is difficult not to be impressed by the way City have begun the season.
And Hughes feels they can get even better. The manner of their fifth win in the first six league games suggests the top sides are right to fear them. West Ham were beaten 3-1 on Monday, but the margin of victory should have been far greater. City's attacking play, led by Carlos Tevez, was breathtaking at times. Playing deep, drifting wide or as a poacher, the Argentinian scored his first two league goals for City against the club he helped save from relegation in 2007..
The West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola, whose side remain in the bottom three, admitted Tevez's contribution was "outstanding", and he was a gentleman too for his muted opening goal celebration in front of the visiting fans. In his playing days, perhaps Zola's technique and finishing may have been better, but Tevez has similar qualities to the Italian, according to his former Chelsea strike partner Hughes.
"Carlos is an outstanding footballer and Franco was as well," said the City manager. "They have got an awareness on the field, they understand where they are in relation to other people and where they can affect the game in the right way. You need that ability to create the unexpected. "In the future it will happen where we will have games we are not able to play as well as we want, and you need someone to produce something out of nothing. We have got players of that quality like Carlos who are able to do that."
Roque Santa Cruz came on for his City debut in the second half after missing the start of the season with a knee injury. "It's in the blood of a striker and I will be wanting to do the same as the others, trying to get going with goals," said the Paraguay striker. A plume of black smoke rose from a fuel storage facility in the village of Kalynivka outside Kyiv on Friday after Russia said it had destroyed the military site with Kalibr cruise missiles.
"On the evening of March 24, Kalibr high-precision sea-based cruise missiles attacked a fuel base in the village of Kalynivka near Kyiv," the Russian defence ministry said in a statement.
Ukraine confirmed the strike, saying the village some 40 kilometres south-west of Kyiv was targeted.

How the bonus system works
The two riders are among several riders in the UAE to receive the top payment of £10,000 under the Thank You Fund of £16 million (Dh80m), which was announced in conjunction with Deliveroo's £8 billion (Dh40bn) stock market listing earlier this year.
The £10,000 (Dh50,000) payment is made to those riders who have completed the highest number of orders in each market.
There are also riders who will receive payments of £1,000 (Dh5,000) and £500 (Dh2,500).

It was the start of an incredible journey, with millions of riders and drivers finding new ways to move and work in a dynamic region that’s become so important to Uber. They are first-class entrepreneurs who share our platform vision and, like us, have launched a wide range of products—from digital payments to food delivery—to serve consumers.
I expect many of you will ask how we arrived at this structure, meaning allowing Careem to maintain an independent brand and operate separately. After careful consideration, we decided that this framework has the advantage of letting us build new products and try new ideas across not one, but two, strong brands, with strong operators within each. Over time, by integrating parts of our networks, we can operate more efficiently, achieve even lower wait times, expand new products like high-capacity vehicles and payments, and quicken the already remarkable pace of innovation in the region.
This acquisition is subject to regulatory approval in various countries, which we don’t expect before Q1 2020. Until then, nothing changes.
