Roger Federer secured his seventh Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships title on Saturday with a 6-3 7-5 victory over world No 1 Novak Djokovic.

Top seeded Djokovic entered the tournament off the back of a triumphant Australian Open and was favourite to win the tournament in Dubai.

However, Federer - the defending champion - had other ideas and produced an impressive display in the final to win his first event of the season.
