Marketa Vondrousova continued her rapid rise on the WTA Tour by reaching her first grand slam quarter-final with an emphatic 6-2, 6-0 win over 12th seed Anastasija Sevastova at the French Open on Sunday.
The 19-year-old Czech warmed up for Roland Garros by reaching the Istanbul Open final and the quarter-finals of the Italian Open - where she defeated world No 3 Simona Halep.
Vondrousova maintained her fine run of form against Sevastova, dominating from start to finish in a match that lasted just 59 minutes.
"She's a great player but I played my best tennis today and I'm really happy," said Vondrousova.
"It was my first junior Grand Slam so I'm in love with this place and I'm enjoying playing here."
The world No 38 will take on Petra Martic for a place in the semi-finals after the Croatian 31st seed defeated Estonia's Kaia Kanepi in an entertaining clash on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
Martic recovered from losing the first set to come through 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 in two hours and 14 minutes.
Johanna Konta soon followed suit by booking her place in the last-eight with an impressive straight sets win over Donna Vekic on Court Suzanne-Lenglen.
Konta, who reached the Italian Open final before Roland Garros, continued her revival with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over the 24th seeded Croatian.
The British No 1 will take on either last year's finalist Sloane Stephens or the 2016 champion Garbine Muguruza in quarter-finals.
