Sunday cover: Nico Rosberg on a roll to secure pole for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Mercedes-GP driver Nico Rosberg steers his way onto The National Sport front page on Sunday, November 29 after storming to pole for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Rosberg, who lost out to teammate Lewis Hamilton for the world title, has been the form driver at the back end of the season and enters the final race looking to make it three successive wins.

Speaking in the press conference after qualifying, Rosberg said: “It’s not a revival, I haven’t reinvented anything. It’s just progress and that’s it.

“Before it was always very, very close but Lewis had that one-10th edge and at the moment it’s me that has the one-10th edge.

“Today a bit more, but it was very close lately in the last two races.”
